This November I am going to be preparing for starting a new chapter, selling my place, moving, and I signed on with a website to license my poems and lyrics, (https://songbay.co/portfolio/68318) as well as forming networking relationships with other professionals. It’s a time where so much is being gained, though there was a loss as well, my mom early this year, 97, a strong lady. If I had to give her thanks for one thing only, well what might it be? Strength, as she was the example of strength, came from Italy when she married my dad, didn’t know the language, and when they divorced was a single mom in a country she had grown to love, but it was tough. She worked hard to make sure I had education etc… and a strong faith in God. Even those relationships that brought me grief and pain in the past I can have something thankful to say, as they were part of my journey to growing, to getting to where I am. They clarified for me what I do and don’t want in relationships, in a life partner etc…

As we enter the month of Thanksgiving, I hope we will look back and see that we have grown, have learned, and gained, even if we have in another way lost, and I don’t mean financially, but in all the wonderful intangible ways that matter as a person. Let this month be the beginning of an Attitude of Gratitude, of seeing the glass half full, rather than half empty. Find a way, reason for faith to be restored. For me the faith is all about who the reason for the season is, even if I don’t necessarily understand why God allows stuff etc… Let’s be grateful, even for the small blessings and have a blessed November.
